Timber Bay is offering technical classes to those few divers who
would like to take the next step in diving past the recreational limit of
130 feet. These classes are called Advanced Nitrox and Decompression
Procedures. These classes can be taken separately or together. If these
classes are taken separately, the cost is $350.00 each, but if taken
together the classes are $650.00.
First of all Advanced Nitrox (Certification EAN-40 - EAN-100) is a
course that examines EAN-21 through EAN-100 (Air to 100 percent oxygen).
This class is designed for the first step in looking at decompression
diving, and explains how to properly off gas with a higher concentration of
oxygen. The prerequisites for Advanced Nitrox are to have entry level
Nitrox, be a minimum age of 15, have at least and show proof of 25 logged
dives, and if taught in conjunction with Decompression Procedures be a
minimum age of 18.
Decompressions Procedures (Certification to 150 feet) is the next
step after Advanced Nitrox, and puts all your skills to the test in this
intense technical class. This class truly will test your diving skills with
different kicks, skills, learning how to lead dives, SAC rate, and much
more. The prerequisites are: Be a minimum age of 18, have a minimum
certification level of Open Water Diver (dependent upon the instructor's
rules), and show proof of 25 logged dives.
Call the shop if you are interested in either of these classes. THERE
ARE MINIMUM EQUIPMENT REQUIREMENTS.
